Life Mechanics
"In Wildoria, survival isn't just about dodging bullets—it's about staying fed, rested, and energized enough to work another shift."
The Vital Resource System
Unlike simple games with just a "health bar", Wildoria simulates a living organism through three distinct vital resources:
| Resource | Represents | Used For |
|---|---|---|
| HP (Health) | Physical integrity | Combat, Fall Damage, Environmental Hazards |
| LIFE (Energy) | Stamina & Hunger | Working Shifts, Sprinting |
| MOTIVATION | Mental Focus | Gathering, Crafting, Professional Tasks |
LIFE (Energy & Hunger)
Your LIFE bar is your fuel. Every action you take in the city drains this resource.
Consumption
- Working Shifts: Starting a shift as a Delivery Guy or Miner consumes a significant chunk of Energy.
- Crafting: Focus and physical effort drain Life.
- Existing: Even doing nothing slowly burns calories.
Consequences
- Low Energy: Movement speed slows down.
- Zero Energy: You pass out. You cannot work, craft, or fight until you recover.
Recovery
To restore Life, you must eat or rest.
- Snacks: Quick energy boost.
- (+15 Energy)
- (+5 Energy)
- Meals: Sitting down at a restaurant restores huge amounts of Life.
- Sleep: Log out in a Hotel or your Apartment to recover over time.
HP (Hit Points)
HP is your capability to withstand physical trauma.
Damage Sources
- Combat: Attacks from bandits or wildlife.
- Environment: Falling from heights, radiation zones.
Recovery
Unlike Life, HP does not regenerate quickly on its own (unless you have specific Talents).
- Medical Items: Bandages stop bleeding, special foods restore HP.
- Services: Visit a Doctor player or the Hospital.
Mana (Magical Energy)
Mana is the fuel for your magical abilities and skills. It flows through the ley lines of Wildoria and those attuned to it can shape reality itself.
Consumption
- Casting Skills: Every spell or ability draws from your Mana pool.
- Enchanted Items: Some magical gadgets drain Mana when activated.
Regeneration
Mana regenerates passively over time. The smarter you are, the faster you recover—Intelligence sharpens your connection to the magical weave.
- Resting: Sitting in a safe zone or meditating speeds up recovery.
- Talents: Certain arcane talents enhance your natural Mana flow.
Running Dry
If your Mana pool empties, you can no longer cast spells. Wait for your energy to return, or drink a Mana Potion to instantly restore a portion.
Motivation (Professional Drive)
Your Motivation represents your mental stamina and willingness to perform professional labor.
- The Fuel for Work: You need motivation to gather resources (mining, fishing) or craft items.
- Efficiency: As you master a profession, tasks become less draining.
- Recovery: Motivation regenerates slowly over time, or faster when sleeping in a bed.
See Motivation System for cost scaling details.
City Residents (NPCs)
The city is alive, and its residents operate on their own schedules.
Key Figures
You can follow these characters on Mivitter (in-game social) for updates:
- : A well-known figure in the city.
- : Community leader.
- : Weather and events reporter.
Tip: Weather v1.1.0 affects gameplay! Rain increases fishing yields but makes climbing harder.
