WLD - Game Token
Wildoria runs on two currencies:
- Gold - everyday in-game money. Earned from regular play, spent on regular things, never leaves the game.
- WLD - the premium token. Used for marketplace trades, premium purchases, and (eventually) governance. Unlike gold, WLD is a real on-chain token - you can take it home to your own wallet.
This page is about WLD. (Gold is just gold; nothing fancy.)
Token specs
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Standard | ERC-20 (with permit + voting extensions) |
| Symbol | WLD |
| Decimals | 18 |
| Hard cap | 1 000 000 000 WLD (one billion, fixed forever) |
| Mintable past the cap? | No, ever - enforced by the contract itself |
| Supply can shrink (burn)? | Yes |
| Network | Avalanche (currently Fuji testnet during open beta) |
| Voting power | Weighted by your delegated WLD balance - see Governance |
The hard cap is the most important thing to internalise: once 1 B is reached, no more WLD can ever exist. Not by team decision, not by a vote, not by any party. The cap is a rule built into the token, not a policy on a website. Any wallet or block explorer can confirm it directly from the chain.
What you'll use WLD for
- Premium in-game purchases - items, services, conveniences beyond what regular gold buys.
- Marketplace trades - every player-to-player trade in the Wildoria Marketplace settles in WLD.
- Cashing out - WLD you've earned can be withdrawn from the Wildoria Bank to your personal wallet.
- Governance - holding WLD will eventually give you voting power on community decisions. The framework is on-chain (Governance); activation is staged.
Where WLD comes from
You earn WLD by playing - through quests, achievements, events, and the activities the world rewards. The full earning model lives in the Economy chapter.
You can also buy WLD from other players via the Marketplace, or - once mainnet is live - from any wallet or exchange that supports it.
Why a capped supply matters
Most game currencies have unlimited supply at the studio's discretion. That makes them flexible for the studio and risky for the player - nothing stops the studio from minting more and diluting your holdings.
A hard cap removes that risk. The maximum number of WLD that can ever exist is a known, finite number. The dilution ceiling is fixed, and you can compute the live circulating supply directly from the chain at any time.
Verify it yourself
WLD is a real, public token on the Avalanche blockchain. You can look up:
- Total supply - how many WLD exist right now
- The hard cap - confirmed by the contract, immutable
- Any wallet's balance - including the Wildoria Bank's vault, which holds the WLD backing every player's in-app balance

The WLD live during open beta is test-WLD with no monetary value
- it exists so you can try the deposit / withdraw / marketplace loop risk-free. When mainnet launches, real WLD is a separate brand-new token; testnet balances do not transfer.
