The Marketplace
The Wildoria Marketplace is where players sell, buy, and trade with each other. Sealed characters and sealed items, priced in WLD. Open to anyone.
The Marketplace is where the player economy lives. Wildoria doesn't control prices, doesn't take inventory off you to "list" it, and doesn't sit between you and the buyer holding either side's stuff. You list, someone buys, the trade happens - that's it.

How a trade works
Listing something is two steps:
- You set a price in WLD for the character or item you want to sell. Wildoria broadcasts your listing to everyone browsing the Marketplace.
- A buyer accepts. A single transaction sends the WLD to you (minus a small Marketplace fee) and sends the NFT to them. All in one atomic step - either everything happens, or nothing does.
You never give up your stuff while it's listed. Your character or item stays in your wallet, your buyer's WLD stays in theirs. The trade only happens at the moment both sides agree.
What you can do as a seller
- List for any price. Wildoria doesn't enforce floors or caps.
- Cancel any time. One small on-chain action and the listing is dead - even if a buyer somehow has your old approval, they can't use it. No locked inventory, no listing fee.
- Sell off-platform too. Your sealed characters and items are standard NFTs, so you can also list them on any external NFT marketplace that supports Avalanche.
What you can do as a buyer
- Browse listings by price, character race, item type - the filters you'd expect.
- Buy in one tap. Pay in WLD, receive the NFT immediately, see it in your inventory within seconds.
- Hunt deals across platforms. Same Wildoria characters and items are also tradable on external NFT marketplaces. Some prices may be better elsewhere; Wildoria's Marketplace is just one storefront among many.
Why this is safer than "the game holds it"
A traditional game-internal marketplace usually escrows your item ("we hold it while it's listed"). That means you trust the game operator with custody - and operators get hacked.
Wildoria's Marketplace never holds your stuff. The contract is just the meeting point that executes the trade when both sides agree. If the Marketplace were ever paused or compromised, you'd still own everything you owned a moment before, in your own wallet.
What's live today
The Marketplace's foundations are deployed and auditable on-chain (addresses, fee recipient, pause switch, cancel-listing functionality). The full browse-and-buy UX ships with the next content release, alongside the polish to listing filters, search and the in-game storefront.
