Biography
Marcus Wells runs the Wildoria Central Bank with the calm of a man who has never been late paying a bill in his life. A Savage in conviction if not in temper, he believes the city survives because someone keeps the books - and that someone is him.
Marcus came up through the lending desks, watching the same families default on the same loans for the same reasons. He stopped lecturing about it years ago. Now he writes terms, sets collateral, and lets the consequences teach.
He is unfailingly polite, even to citizens who hate him by the third missed payment.
Visit Marcus when you need a loan for a major investment, when you want to deposit valuables, or when your bank notice has just turned red. He sets the interest rate; the Civic Code sets the penalty if you ignore him.
Responsibilities
- Approving and pricing citizen loans (BankLoanService).
- Custody of city treasury and large player deposits.
- Reporting overdue accounts to the courts (signed letters routed via Judge Hope Long).
