The Food Chain Crisis
The biggest problem of the transformation was obvious: Predators and prey were now part of the same society.
What would a wolf feel looking at a rabbit who was his former colleague? Could an eagle ignore a mouse who was his child's classmate?
First Incidents
The first week saw tragic events:
- A bear lost control and attacked a deer (no one was hurt, but panic was huge)
- Some predators fainted from hunger - they refused to eat meat
- First "Peace Meals" were organized - predators and prey at the same table
The Key to Solution: Remembering
Psychologists and community leaders emphasized a truth:
"Our bodies changed, but our minds didn't. We can still go grocery shopping, order food, eat at restaurants. We don't have to hunt."
Slowly, normalization began:
- Butchers reopened (supply chain was different but worked)
- Restaurants divided menus by species
- "Survival" became "Coexistence" as the slogan
Social Tensions
After the food chain was resolved, other problems emerged.
Species Grouping
People naturally began gathering with similar species:
- The cat family (lions, tigers, house cats) congregated in one neighborhood
- The dog family (wolves, foxes, jackals) settled in other areas
- Birds preferred tall buildings
Conflicts
Tensions arose between groups:
- Resource sharing disputes
- "One of us" mentality
- Old human enmities transformed into new body enmities
Clashes broke out in some cities. The world was about to split in two.
The Grand Council
Six months later, leaders from around the world came together.
At the Grand Council meeting, a historic speech was made:
"A year ago, we were all human. We went to the same schools, watched the same movies, had the same dreams. Our bodies changed - but we are still children of the same civilization. Instead of dividing, we must unite."
