The Municipality

The Municipality is the executive branch of Wildoria's government. While Factions hold military power, the Municipality holds administrative power.

Responsibilities​

1. Taxation​

The Municipality collects a small percentage of gold from every transaction in the Marketplace. This gold is stored in the City Treasury.

  • Current Tax Rate: 1.5% (Subject to DAO vote v1.4.0)

2. Infrastructure Maintenance​

Roads need repairs, streetlights need oil, and walls need reinforcing. The Municipality uses the Treasury to pay for these automated upkeep costs.

3. Building Permits​

Citizens who wish to open a shop or build a house must apply for a permit. The Municipality ensures that construction adheres to safety standards (so it doesn't collapse during a monster attack).

The Mayor​

The Mayor is the head of the Municipality. Currently, this role is appointed by the Founding Council, but future elections are planned.
