Wildoria Exchange
The Wildoria Exchange is the city's share market. You buy shares in a company with coin, and every share you hold pays you a dividend in coin while you hold it.
Open the Exchange from the Treasury section of the game menu. It works from anywhere: you don't need to stand in a particular building to trade.
Listed companies
Two companies are listed today:
- Fasters Freight Co. (FFC)
- Savage Steel Works (SSW)
Each company has a fixed number of shares. When every share is owned, the company shows as sold out until someone sells.
Buying shares
- Price: you pay the current share price. Each share you buy pushes the price up by 1%, so a large order costs more per share than a small one.
- Commission: the Exchange adds 5% on top of the share cost.
- Price check: if the price moves by more than 1% between the moment you see it and the moment you buy, the order stops and shows you the new price. Confirm again to buy at it.
Dividends
Every share earns a set amount of coin per hour. Your dividend builds up while you hold the shares, and you collect it with Claim on the Exchange. When you buy or sell shares on the Exchange, the dividend you have built up so far is paid out first.
Selling shares
You can sell shares in two ways.
Sell to the Exchange
- You get the current price. Each share you sell pushes the price down by 1%, but never below the company's floor price.
- The Exchange keeps 5% of what you receive.
List on the citizen market
- Set your own price per share and the number of shares to offer. The shares leave your holdings while they are listed.
- Another citizen buys the whole listing. You receive your full asking price, and the buyer pays 2% on top.
- A share listing stays up until it sells or you cancel it. When you cancel, the shares come back to you.
- Trades between citizens also nudge the company's share price toward the price they traded at.
Shares trade only on the Exchange. You can't list them on the Marketplace.
