Transportation Network

"The world is vast, and time is the only resource you cannot gather. Travel wisely."

In the unforgiving environment of Wildoria, movement is survival. Whether you are hauling ore from the mines or rushing to defend the outer walls, how you travel determines your efficiency and safety.

Physical Travel

For most citizens, travel is a physical endeavor. The terrain demands endurance.

On Foot

Walking and running are the primary methods of traversing the city and its outskirts.

  • Stamina Management: Sprinting consumes stamina. A wise adventurer manages their energy reserves, ensuring they have enough left to fight or flee if ambushed by wildlife.
  • Terrain Penalties: Moving through swamps or deep snow (Savages territory) will significantly reduce movement speed unless equipped with specialized gear.

Mounts v2.0.0

The Beastmasters are currently attempting to domesticate the wild fauna. Rumors of riding giant wolves or mechanical constructs are spreading, but for now, you must rely on your own two legs.

The Teleportation Network

A relic of the pre-meteor era, now maintained by the Arcane Engineers. The Teleportation Network is the only way to cover vast distances instantly, but it comes at a cost.

Mechanics

  • Waypoints: Ancient stone markers found in key locations. You must physically touch a Waypoint once to attune it to your bio-signature.
  • Cost: Teleportation is not free. It destabilizes your immediate mana field.
    • Cooldown: After teleporting, you suffer from "Spatial Sickness," preventing another jump for a short period.
    • Mana Drain: requires a significant amount of mana or a charged Teleport Scroll.

Key Waypoints

  • Central Plaza: The zero-point of the city. Safe zone.
  • Inter Lake Docks: Primary trade route access.
  • Iron Mines Camp: Forward operating base for miners.
